Health and Wellness Spa is a division of Health and Wellness Medical Services (HWMS), a private medical practice owned by Jenny Furlow, NP-C. Her goal is to provide access to care for those in the Central Virginia region and spread the word about how Nurse Practitioners can practice as Primary Care Providers and are a vital component in changing and improving our healthcare system. The practice took off, providing services to thousands of patients in the central Virginia area, and now Jenny has started Health and Wellness Spa. Our spa’s goal is to promote the practice of NPs and provide good care for our clients to make them feel their best inside and out. We also aim to improve accessibility to products and fabulous and fun service.

Jenny Furlow, FNP-C

Jenny, FNP-C, is the owner and founder, and the laboratory director at Health and Wellness Medical Services (HWMS), a private medical practice in Charlottesville, Virginia, and our Health and Wellness Spa. Jenny is a board-certified autonomous Nurse Practitioner who has been providing advanced medical care for children through geriatrics since 2012 in the Charlottesville area and surrounding counties. She is also the medical director for Commonwealth Senior Living Charlottesville, English Meadows Crozet campus, and Lavender Hills Assisted Living in Orange, VA. Jenny has degrees from Virginia Tech and James Madison Universities.

Jenny has extensive experience with dementia management, psychiatric ailments, and chronic care management. She loves caring for patients at home and in residential, independent, and assisted living communities and feels this is her calling to now provide convenient, top-notch medical services to patients in her community.Jenny is now excited to open the new Health and Wellness Spa, a division of HWMS. She is proud to offer Botox, fillers, other injectables, Scarlet Microneedling, Cryoslimming and toning, Facials, Peels, Laser hair removal and IPL, and other services to members of her community. She feels that these treatments can make people feel their best inside and out and would love to offer great services at prices that anyone (even soccer moms) and others in her community can afford.  

Jenny lives in Forest Lakes in Charlottesville with her husband and son, who is in elementary school and enjoys playing tennis and reading in her spare time.

Sarah Adams, FNP-C

Sarah Adams, FNP-C, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner originally from Richmond, Virginia. Sarah has degrees from James Madison University, the University of Virginia, and Virginia Commonwealth University. She has extensive experience in providing primary care to the population of Charlottesville, Virginia, and its surrounding counties. Sarah is passionate about providing holistic care to her patients, enabling them to engage in a healthy and fulfilling life inside and out. She enjoys running and playing with her black Labrador retriever in her free time. She is excited to offer services with our Scarlet RF Micro-needling device and Magma Laser Device and will also be offering injectables, such as Botox and Fillers.

She is certified Magma Laser Technician, Cryoskin Technician as well as Scarlet SRF Microneedling technician.  CJ also has college training in Geriatrics, Dementia, Elder abuse and am UAI/ISP certified with Social Services and is certified with VCU in HIV counseling. She is a  huge Virginia Tech Hokies and Pittsburgh Steelers football fan (go terrible towel) and loves to ride dirt bikes, fish and go camping.  She coordinates our cognitive care plans and behavioral health in our Medical practice and is excited to offer spa services to her clients to reach their best health inside and out.
