How is an IPL Skin Rejuvenation Treatment Carried Out?

How is an IPL Skin Rejuvenation Treatment Carried Out

Men and women who spend the most time in the sun can get dark spots, brown spots, and freckles, among other things. Sun damage starts to show up on our skin as we age.

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) therapy can make dull skin look better on people of all ages and skin types. IPL therapy is at the top of the list of noninvasive methods to improve the look of your skin that give patients excellent results.

Good thing this treatment is available at the Health and Wellness Spa! It uses light to heal your skin. It is a non-invasive way to get rid of hyperpigmentation (brown spots), tighten pores, and reduce redness, making you look healthier and younger.

Find out how an IPL can help you reach your skincare goals. Read this blog post to discover more details about this therapy today!

What Happens During IPL Treatment?

If you have been in the sun for a long time without sunscreen, you may see sad signs of sun damage. After years of being in the sun, you might have freckles and dark spots on your face and your hands.

The good news is that an IPL at Health and Wellness Spa can help eliminate these flaws. IPL has intense wavelengths of light to heat the skin’s surface enough to help it heal and make more collagen.

Over time, the sun damage on the skin gets less noticeable, and the skin tone gets smoother.

How Does IPL Make Your Skin Better?

An IPL treatment has the power of broadband light to make age spots, sun spots, acne scars, rosacea, and other skin problems look less noticeable.

Most patients say the treatment feels like a quick pinching that doesn’t hurt much. There is no need for injections or cuts, so the patient has no recovery time.

IPL Rejuvenation Treatment at Health and Wellness Spa

IPL, or intense pulsed light, sends different wavelengths of light into your skin and targets cells that make melanin rise to the surface. The light kills the cells that produce melanin because it turns into heat.

Under these peeling layers of skin, a new layer of healthy, young skin is revealed. With Magma technology, IPL treatment is so gentle that we can do it almost anywhere.

You should see results after the first treatment, but most people need three to five treatments to get the best results. During your first appointment at Health and Wellness Spa, we will figure out how many treatments you need.

After an IPL skin rejuvenation treatment, you should be able to go about your daily life as usual. After your treatment, you might feel a little pink or a little pain for a few hours, like sunburn.

For instance, laser resurfacing with IPL can help with the following:

  • Age spots & sun damage
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Fine lines & wrinkles
  • Stretch marks
  • Sun-damaged skin
  • Freckles
  • Scars from acne and other wounds
  • Rosacea
  • Photorejuvenation
  • Pigmented lesions
  • Fungal nails

How Long Does IPL Stay Up?

As your skin starts to heal after an IPL treatment, sun damage and other skin flaws will begin to show. Most people can see results after their first IPL session. Still, experts recommend 3–6 sessions spaced about four weeks apart for the best results.

Most people can enjoy the results of IPL for years if they take care of their skin and keep it out of the sun. As part of your skincare routine, getting an IPL treatment every 6 to 12 months can boost collagen production, which is another anti-aging substance that works for both men and women.

Intense pulsed light therapy can significantly help people. As we age, sun spots and other blemishes start to appear. With IPL treatments, your skin can get a clean start.

IPL therapy can help even younger adults take care of their skin immediately. At Health and Wellness Spa, men and women who want to look younger and have healthier-looking skin can use this cutting-edge technology.

IPL therapy could be the right choice if you want to start over with your face, shoulders, neck, and hands.

How To Prepare For IPL?

Since IPL works by focusing on pigment, you must stay out of the sun to keep your skin as light as possible. Tan skin would soak up too much of the light from the IPL device because it has more pigment.

This would make the treatment less effective. Put on at least 30 SPF sunscreen if you need to go outside. Your sunscreen should block both UVB and UVA rays.

Also, during your appointment, you must tell us about any prescription or nonprescription drugs or supplements you are taking. Some medicines can change how sensitive the skin is to the IPL.

Again, you should stop using any Vitamin A product on your face for at least two months before the procedure. This includes Retin-A, Accutane, glycolic acid, retinoic acid, and alpha-hydroxy acids.

Before treatment, you shouldn’t use depilatory or bleaching creams for at least a week. You shouldn’t wear makeup, perfume, or lotions on the day of treatment.

Who Can Benefit from IPL Skin Rejuvenation?

The best person for the job will be in good health and have reasonable goals. Also, their skin will be light, not tanned, and still have some give to it. They shouldn’t have taken Accutane in the last six months.

On the other hand, people with dark skin, tans, or recent sunburns are not good candidates. Before getting photorejuvenation, people who have used tanning beds or gone outside without sunscreen need to wait at least a month.

If you have skin problems like active infections, eczema, or acne that gets red and swollen are not a good candidate. Cancer, lupus, and seizure disorders make a person a wrong candidate for IPL skin rejuvenation.
